Slack Snap Mobile
Break gear fear in the wild like we do with the SlackSnap Mobile kit. With a working load limit (3:1 safety ratio) of 30 kN and a MBS of 90 kN you can bust bolts at the crag or stress test gear onsite. Wherever you can go, the SlackSnap Mobile can too!
This Product Page has the whole kit in one place. If you already have some of the parts, here it is broken down so you only get what you need.
Haul Bag
The Vertac bag fits things like a glove. The 40L technically fits the Z2R compact case + pulleys and a LineScale 3. You just don't have room for anything else so that's why we recommend the 60L.

Vertac
Vertac 40L:
VERTAC 40L bag has a free-standing design that allows top access when you need to load it up and a U-shaped back panel zipper that lets you get eyes on everything, even items that find their way to the bottom.
The comfortable shoulder straps can be tied together to use as a duffel and the 40L size makes it TSA-approved as a carry-on. The top grab handles have a rated working load limit, making the bag at home in the vertical environment during work or play.
DETAILS:
- Recycled 600d ripstop fabric exterior and recycled interior lining
- Scannable-enabled NFC Chip for product traceability
- TSA-approved size for carry-on airline travel

Rope
If you have an old 10mm laying around, have at it. If you want it light and you're pulling by hand or vehicle, then 8mm polyester (hyper static) is plenty. You could get away with 7mm but that gets weird to handle. We recommend 9mm polyester because it's compact enough but handles well. Also the Z2R grabs it super good enough but slips before things go boom in the bad way.
40m = 10 feet of useful throw in an 11:1.
60m = 16 feet of useful throw in an 11:1.

Pintail Lite 9.0 mm
Very robust canyoning rope with twisted polyester sheath for maximum abrasion resistance. This rope retains its suppleness even with intensive use and many wet-dry cycles. Its neon-yellow color scheme ensures good visibility at all times. With a small diameter, the PINTAIL LITE is geared especially toward anyone who likes to travel light and flexibly.
Sold by the foot or in a 200ft length, please enter desired number of feet in "Quantity."
The longest continuous length we can cut is 200 feet

Shackles
Things bend before they break. Many shackles and carabiners, even if you don't hit MBS, become unusable at a certain point. These shackles are made of 99% dreams and 1% steel. The shape of a CHAIN shackle allows you to use and abuse the thing and you can still pull the pin out.
3 Ton Chain Shackles are the perfect spacer for the pulleys. It also fits in climbing hangers well. It's cheaper than a good steel carabiner by a lot so we use them freely in the system.
5 Ton Chain Shackles are wildly bomber and if we can put it on certain master points, we do. We use about 4 in our system.

Steel Shackles
D-shaped chain shackle that we use in our break test machine. This shape and this specific shackle can be pulled very close to it's MBS before permanent deformation occurs. Bow shackles, if pulled close to their MBS, will deform and pulling the pin loose becomes difficult or impossible. Chain shackles are our favorite when we plan on using and abusing break test equipment.
Climbing Taiwan's Notes: These G80 alloy steel shackles are our go-to when break-testing metal hardware, which otherwise would not be possible & sustainable if we used other steel connectors. "G80" is a high-strength, heat-treated alloy steel that is designed to withstand heavy loads and high stress. The manufacturer states their MBS as 4 times the rating. However in our usage and tests with them, we've far exceeded their working-load rating without any notable deformation of the pin or shackle. For example, the "2 Ton shackles" we've taken up to 60kN, the "3 Ton shackles" up to 90 kN, and they still perform fine throughout many additional tests. Of course we must disclaim: You accept your own responsibility for the use and misuse of the product.

Soft Shackles
The less hard stuff flying, the better. 8mm soft shackles are over 100kN MBS. It's nice to have a few 8mm short ones. 5mm short ones come in real handy. However, the really long ones are game changing. You can extend something about 3 feet with something that opens and is so light and is 100kN MBS! Round slings all require connectors so we don't use them anymore in our system, now that long soft shackles are an option.

HMPE Soft Shackles
Here is a HUGE variety of button head soft shackles. Button heads achieve ~225% of the eye to eye strength of the material used. These are made from Arete's SK75 HMPE. Our pricing is simple. It's $9 for any soft shackle + the material to make it. It takes 4 x the open length in material to make a soft shackle.
Small = the smallest they can safely be made
Medium = 2 x the smallest length
Long = 3 x the smallest length
These are hand made! There are variations in length and we have a chart to show you the range for each diameter & size. Some soft shackles that you see online have chafe covers. We've used soft shackles in extreme use for over a decade and don't find chafe covers to be worth the hassles of having a sock slipping around on your soft shackle. If you need that for your application, we sell tubular webbing by the foot and chafe covers to be purchased separately.
We have an ENTIRE PLAYLIST on YouTube about soft shackles and HMPE.

Pulleys required
These are the best ratio to quality + weight + cost pulleys we could find. These have sealed ball bearings in a lightweight package at 3" in a double pulley that's compatible with itself when you stack them side by side. The singles fit nicely in between to take it from a 9:1 to an 11:1 which help makes up for the loss in friction you naturally get with this large of a block and tackle.

3" Double Prusik Minding Pulley
The 3" PMP " Prusik Minding Pulley" is the largest of three sizes of SMC PMP's and therefore handle the largest loads and toughest tasks. PMP’s feature a wide base design that maximizes the effectiveness of a Prusik hitch and are most often used as an integral piece of equipment in progress capture and hauling systems. PMP’s are especially versatile and may be used in many ways, from progress capture and hauling systems to crevasse rescue, high-lines and Tyrolean traverses.
The D-shaped top hole accepts up to 3 large rescue carabiners or multiple small carabiners and allows the carabiners to be rotated freely and completely through the hole. Side plates are precisely tensioned to aid one-handed use. Solid side plates also help to further reduce snagging. Sealed ball bearings provide optimal efficiency and reduce the performance-robbing resistance that is inherent in most multiple component systems and are not prone to failure under misaligned loads or with twisted gear that may occur with needle bearing.

3" Single Prusik Minding Pulley
The largest of SMC's Prusik Minding Pulleys (PMP), the 3" Single PMP is designed to handle the heaviest loads and toughest situations. The large D ring attachment point can fit 3 large rescue carabiners and still allow them to move freely. The solid side plates and sealed bearings prevent snagging or unnecessary resistance to ensure efficiency and avoid misalignment. This pulley is excellent for everything from progress capture in hauling, highlining, or rescue scenarios.
