The Awah Z3-FIRE is designed specifically for efficient and safe lifting and lowering of goods and personnel. Driven by a hand drill, this product offers powered ascending and smooth lowering, making it suitable for complex and dynamic work environments. The device features an integrated dual self-locking mechanism that automatically engages in case of gearbox failure, preventing accidental falls and ensuring operational safety. 

Z3 vs Z2R:

• Z3 offers a smooth rappel as the release handle slowly moves the rope away from the pinch point like many rappel devices.  The Z2 requires you wrap the rope around friction arms and fully release the gears.
• The Z3 and Z2R have the same gear ratio so the speed and lift power are going to be the same.
• You can open the Z3 without unclipping it from anything.  The two action button prevents it from opening accidentally.  The Z2R needs to be unclipped to open the device.
• The Z3 FIRE is the only Z3 version we stock and that one has the swivel.  The Z2R does not have a swivel.
• We are working on getting the Z3 PPE and NFPA certified.  It currently does NOT have those certifications.  The Z2R has no certifications.
• No the Z3 is not replacing the Z2R, we will still carry both types.

NOTE: Z3-FIRE requires maintenance as the wheel and the rope edge rollers are wear parts.  We are investing in the machinery to service these for our customers.  We are currently the only distributor and retailer for the USA.  We are the distributor for Australia and Canada and have partners there.  If you do NOT purchase these from an authorized dealer, we will NOT service them.
