These DaySensor load cells have great specs for the best price we're aware of online.  The load cell we use in our break test machine was $1500 + $400 for the eyes.  These units go up to either 50kN or 100kN with an external reader that would do most of the testing we do here at HowNOT2.  The LineScale 3i is a great load cell if you want to measure activities as it is an all-in-one without any cables and records internally.  HOWEVER, if you don't need that, you can save half the money on something that is stronger and faster.  The 50kN units are small in size, roughly the same as a LS3 and fit our 5 TON SHACKLES (not included) perfectly with the swivel eyes that are included.  If you need something even stronger look to the 100kN option which comes with rod end bearings that fit our 12.5 TON SHACKLES (not included). Or, if you prefer something  you can connect straight to with soft shackles, we also carry 100kN column style load cells which come with heavy duty eyebolts.

Note: Videos show an older style 50kN load cell, new models are as shown in the photos and are slightly smaller with upgraded rod end bearings (eyes).
